The Assistant Instructor course is the next level up from Divemaster and also consists of the first half of the Instructor Course
How the course works
The Assistant instructor course normally takes 4 days to complete and introduces you to the PADI system of diver education. You will learn how to brief, evaluate and debrief divers in the classroom, confined and open water. As the course progresses you will work on your presentation and evaluation techniques and learn how to use all the different aspects of the PADI system.
We usually run the AI as the first part of the full Instructor Development Course however it is also a useful intermediate qualification for anyone looking to head towards instructor but who wants to break the process up over time.

Divemaster qualified or similar
What's the next step?
Carry on and become a diving instructor by completing the Open Water Scuba Instructor.
