Diving Leisure London or DLL as those of us with syllable fatigue like to call it has been going for 15 years making it one of the longest established dive centres in London. The story began in the late nineties when Paul Toomer saw an opportunity to open a dive centre in London offering PADI courses. At the time PADI was still relatively new on the block in the UK as a training agency but it provided the perfect solution for busy Londoners wanting to learn to dive who often didn't have the time for the more traditional club style training provided by other agencies.
Over the next few years, DLL went from strength to strength. Paul, however, was moving towards the field of technical diving and realised that to devote his time to it fully he would have to sell DLL. Alex Griffin bought DLL in 2007, a diver for over 10 years and an instructor with 7 years of experience Alex had previously spent 4 years managing another dive shop during which time he and Paul became friends. He realised that this was the perfect opportunity to fulfill his dream of running his own centre. So, after a slightly protracted negotiation conducted overseas mainly via text message the deal was finally done.
Now in it's fifth year with Alex at the helm, DLL has re-established itself as one of the top centres in London and continues to flourish by running courses well, going to loads of exciting dive destinations and basically having the coolest dive club around, all of which keeps our customers coming back for more!
