Thanks to the powers of clairvoyancy granted to me by my long immersions in water I was able to predict the snowy weather at the beginning of the month and decided to head over to Sharm to check out the diving. Despite having been a diver for about 9 years I’ve never actually been to Sharm which is a bit like being into cheeseburgers and never going to Mcdonalds.

It really is so lovely being back in London after a week in the Maldives. As Rich Smith has just reminded me, at approximately this time last week we were gazing at a moonlit sky with the warm water lapping at our ankles, replete with food and amusing ourselves by taking hilarious photos of ourselves from underwater using my waterproof camera.

At the end of October we had one of the best UK dive weekends so far in Portland. The great part of diving in Portland, for those who haven’t been there before, is that everything, the boat, accommodation and air station are all really close together.
